OQVIA MAIL

Privacy

How OQVIA Mail uses data from your accounts during testing.

What OQVIA reads and why

OQVIA connects your device directly to your provider. It retrieves your address, folders, labels and messages to display your inbox. When you open a message or download an attachment, it retrieves the content needed for that action.

Gmail and Outlook

In Gmail you can authorize reading, sending and organizing with the gmail.modify permission. OQVIA uses it when you send, archive, label or move a message to the trash. Outlook requests read access and permission to keep you signed in.

Storage and copies

Credentials are protected by the system keychain. Downloaded mail and drafts are encrypted on your device. If you choose a backup or export, the selected data is also saved to the destination you specify. You manage those copies separately.

If you choose iCloud Drive, encrypted files sync through your Apple account. Depending on your settings, a backup can include preferences, rules, signatures, account addresses, drafts, message metadata and previously downloaded mail content. It does not include passwords or tokens. Disconnecting does not delete your backups or exports.

Apple Watch

Only if you enable it, iPhone shares a limited mailbox snapshot with the paired watch through WatchConnectivity. You choose whether to include previews and downloaded text. The snapshot is stored encrypted and the watch does not receive provider credentials.

Intelligence and remote content

Summaries and writing assistance use Apple’s on-device model when available. OQVIA does not sell Gmail data or use it for advertising or to train general-purpose models. If you allow remote images, their host may receive information about your connection.

Remote images are initially blocked and the reader does not execute sender scripts. You can preview links and decide whether to load images. If you configure your own proxy, that service handles the requests you route through it. OQVIA does not operate a mail proxy.

Diagnostics and support

You can opt to include diagnostics in a support report. The report is prepared on your device: review it before exporting or sharing it. It is not sent automatically.

Disconnect your account

Disconnect this device from Accounts. OQVIA removes the account credentials and cache and lets you choose what to do with its local drafts. You can also revoke access in your Google or Microsoft security settings. Messages held by the provider stay in your mailbox.

This test website

The website stores language and appearance preferences in your browser. Cloudflare Pages delivers the pages and receives connection details such as your IP address. If you email support, Google Groups receives your address and your question so OQVIA can respond. The form creates the report on your device.
